TEXAS TECH @ MISSOURI

Texas Tech are 15-4 as favorites L19 . The Raiders when coming off an SU loss are 25-9 L34 overall.(Lost to OK St lat week in shootout (51-49) The favorite has cashed in three of the last four series tilts. If you like to watch an all offensive blitz stay tuned. This Missouri squad is the same team that allowed MTSU 40 points at home this season! I am expecting TT’s QB Symons to assault the Tigers suspect secondary on a consistent basis!

Take Texas Tech -3

USF @ SO MISS

South Florida is 7-2-1 in its last 10 on the road and it has ‘covered’ five of six on the road . The Eagles and Bulls have met just twice in the past with each winning a contest. Last season, it was South Florida who came away with a 16-13 decision over Southern Miss. The Bulls' defense ranks among the best in the nation and is allowing just 17.5 PPG and 284.7 total YPG and with S. Mississippi defense also playing staunch D I am expecting this game to be a low scoring affair, with Bulls offense holding a slight advantage as they are producing 28 pts per game compared to the Eagles 13.5 pts per game!

South Florida +3 & Take the Under

NIU @ Bowling Green

A big time Mac Showdown goes down this Saturday with #10 Northern Illinois going up against the Bowling Green Falcons. Bowling Green are17-7 L24 as home chalk. The Huskies have also been proficient for betting backers having cashed 12 of 15, including six of seven and are 9-2 ATS as underdogs. I am looking for two evenly matched teams to fight it out until the end!

NIU +3.5

NEW MEXICO @UTAH

The Utes are 6-2 ATS in their last eight vs. New Mexico and 5-1 L6 ATS when favored. Utah is the real deal … and if that has not already become evident to most pundits it will after today’s lopsided victory!

Take Utah -8.5

AUBURN @ LSU

Auburn comes into this game having won five straight since opening the season with back-to-back losses. Auburn is 8-5 ATS L13 meetings vs. the Tigers! The underdog has come away with the pesos in nine of the last 13 matchups. LSU high octane offense will go up against what is arguably the best defense in SEC. Defense wins big games, end of story!

Take Auburn +4

KANSAS (+20’) VS. K-STATE ACTION 2:00 EST

The Jayhawks were clearly looking ahead last week against Baylor for their trip to Manhattan as they barely beat Baylor. K-State whipped up on a poor Colorado team that kept it close for a little while. This series has been dominated by HC Snyder’s Wildcat’s the L/10 year’s, but HC Mangino has the 2003 Jayhawks playing at a much higher level. This is their best shot to finally dethrone K-STATE as the champs in the Sunflower state, and I expect KU to put forth a maximum effort. K-State has given up some big time plays on defense this year, and KU’s offense has shown to be very explosive. KU would have no problem exchanging TD’s with the Wildcats all day long, and I foresee this being a very high scoring game barring bad weather. QB Whittmore vs. QB Roberson is not a match-up to be missed, and laying this much with the Wildcats is a bad investment in my opinion. Take the points & ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!!!!

N. ILL (+3’) VS. BOWLING GREEN 4:00 EST

The Huskies of Dekalb, Il continue to amaze the masses, and look to shake the BCS up even more this weekend. This is their ultimate test against a very good Bowling Green squad, and they’ll have to really sack it up if they expect to get out of BG with a win. They’re really been hampered with some key injuries to key players, but they’ll have to put that aside and not feel sorry for themselves today. HC Novak has done an exceptional job with this program, and he’s got the team to finally get to the MAC championship. BG has put forth some great efforts vs. high quality tams this year, but their lack of a ground game concerns me in this spot. QB Harris is quite the load, but the Huskies staff should have put together quite the game plan to keep him grounded. I felt BG would take a step back this year, and this is THE game for them to prove me wrong. I witnessed first hand a year ago when the Huskies smoked pretty much the same BG squad. I feel the Huskies are improved from last season whereas BG isn’t. They’ve been able to get away with it until now, but giving the Huskies points again in this battle is a big mistake. The Huskies plan to throw a wrench in the BCS marches on!!!!

MIZZOU (+3’) VS. TEXAS TECH 12:30 EST

The Tigers gave it their all last week, but were clearly out-matched against the powerful Sooners. Mizzou is still a very good team that’s protected their home turf very well this year to the tune of 4-0 SU. They’re last home game was against Nebraska in which they pulled away late in the 4th, and the Columbia faithful stormed the field. Texas Tech has proven to be a juggernaut on offense this year, but their defense is a complete joke. Mizzou has the running game to shorten the game and keep the ball out of QB Symons hands. This is the first time Tech has been installed as the favorite on the road this season, and I’m not so sure they’re ready to handle that task. The Red Raiders tore apart the Tigers last season in Lubbock, and I’m certain QB Banks will have more than his fair share to say about that this time around. I expected this to be a pick ‘em game, so we’re more than happy grabbing the points in this spot.

PITT (-7) VS. SYRACUSE 12:00 EST

The Panthers look to get back to business against another Big East foe, and look to silence all of their critics. They’ve been bombarded with bad press after most of the Pitt media felt they laid down in the second half against Rutgers. Expect them to put forth a huge effort on defense this afternoon, and contain what’s been a potent Syracuse offense. I had Pitt pegged to make some real noise in the Big East this year, and a convincing win is a must if games vs. VT & Miami are to mean anything down the road. QB Rutherford & Co should have a huge day as Syracuse is always a much different team out of their dome.

KENT (+22) VS. MIAMI (OH) ACTION 2:00 EST

This is more of a situational spot than anything, and I venture into these waters very hesitantly after backing Ball St last weekend for our only loss. M (OH) is on an absolute tear right now, but they find themselves in a different situation today. They’ve got a huge game on deck with BG, and won’t want to do much of anything here today that would allow for one of their guys not to be able to suit up next week. I see HC Hoeppner making a very obvious effort in milking this game, and moving it right along as quickly as possible. Kent St has the offense to put up some points, and has a very dangerous weapon in QB Cribbs. He alone is worthy of getting us the backdoor cover in this spot, but I’m not sure we’ll need that. M (OH) is playing in unchartered waters this afternoon, and it might come up and bite them in the arse if they stray to far from the game plan. We’ll take the heaping load of points, and thank our bookie.

TULSA (-18) VS. SMU ACTION 3:00 EST

I can’t believe I’m advocating laying this much lumber with the Golden Hurricane, but it actually looks more than reasonable. Tulsa is one of the most improved teams in the WAC, and they’ve already proven their mettle to me with a solid effort in Boise & with a tough hard fought loss last week to Nevada. SMU on the other hand is one of the worst teams in the country, and HC Bennett has decided to taker the red shirt off his prized QB recruit to give him his first ever start as a college athlete. That spells trouble to me for the Ponies, and Tulsa will be licking their chops looking to avenge last year’s 24-21 loss in Dallas.
